Raw and exposed. There are no fixed roles but two individuals meeting – Vincent Delbrouck

«The explosion of a moment, our love inside a hotel room, her body energy». During their honeymoon, the Belgian photographer and his wife Helen get lost in the revelation about each other

Vincent Delbrouck for Lampoon

We had a kind of honeymoon with my new wife Helen in Spain this winter, starting just before new year’s eve. The explosion of a moment, that evening at the coast almost at the end of our trip in southern Europe. Our love inside this hotel room, her body energy. She gave me a session as a gift, finally proud of her beauty, trusting me, and letting me approach her intimacy from my artistic perspective.

There is no idea of muse-object here, no model. We just made love, and then I wanted to take pictures with my partner. So this is it, simple as it is: honesty.

Vincent Delbrouck

Delbrouck is an art maker from Brussels. He produces lasting impressions of the living places where he feels at home: Cuba and Nepal. Working outside categories and experimenting with various media, Vincent Delbrouck uses c-prints, collages, photocopies and texts. His work reflects life as a natural process of changing energies and his obsessions, moving in every direction.
