De Vilmorin reflects on the act of pure creation and the brutality and fragility that come with it «I don’t want everything to be perfect»
This project allowed me to work without retouching, without effects. These are photos taken on the phone along with some drawings. During the project I was able to immerse myself in something that was craftlike. My way of creating is instinctive. I don’t like to ask myself too many questions and I want to keep this naïve side.
Lampoon review: Charles de Vilmorin
This project allowed me to show my work without embellishing it. I showed things as they are, with their flaws and their fragility. At the base of each creation there is necessarily this phase of brutality, of pure creation, which is then embellished, retouched. What I like is pure creation, with its flaws. I don’t want everything to be perfect, I create without necessarily thinking.
