Adrien Dubost: portraiture and still life – a visual project about water and its transforming status when close to fire
The idea was to experiment around a vital element: water. I wanted to work on its liquid and solid states and tried to reproduce in my composition what water is in our world.

As a liquid state water is life, it’s a link between fauna and flora and allows species to mix and create but as a solid state it feels almost the opposite, water becomes a still element that can isolate things for days, years or centuries.

He is a London based photographer. After graduating from a French business school, he worked as a production assistant in Barcelona for two years. There he discovered his skills for visual arts, deciding to pursue it at the London Institute of Photography. After taking part in courses taught by Holger Pooten, founder of the school, Dubost decided to specialize in portraiture and still life. He now balances his time between personal projects and editorials.
